The extracts of Sensitive Plant (Mimosa pudica L.) have been used in Thai tradition as bio-insecticide in paddy field with inadequate supporting scientific evidence. It potential effect is AChE inhibitory. The aim of this study was to investigate the AChE inhibitory capability of the extracts in golden apple snail (Pomacea canaliculata) for using instead of niclosamide. The results indicated that AChE inhibitory activity of both plant extracts and niclosamide was time-response relationship and irreversible mechanism. The AChE inhibition capability of niclosamide was higher than that of the plant extracts. However, the extracts of sensitive plant can be used as the potential alternative bio-insecticide as expressed in this study.
