Abstract

Thailand is the agricultural country. The chemical was used for controlling the pest. It causes of the chemical residues in the environment and affects to the ecology including the health. The pesticides from the nature are more campaigned. Therefore, researchers studied the bioherbicidal activity of Kaffir Lime peel extract from fermentation with water and Kaffir Lime juice which affects to the germination and the growth of Mimosa pigra. The experiment of the activity in the laboratory found that the intensity of the fermentation of Kaffir Lime peel was 1:20, 1:30 and the intensity of Kaffir Lime juice was 1:5, 1:10. They could significantly restrict the germination and the growth of Mimosa pigra. When testing in the experimental plot by spraying the samples to pre-emergence and post emergence of Mimosa pigra,it found that for spraying to pre-emergence of Mimosa pigra, the kaffir lime extract and the kaffir lime juice significantly had no the activityfor  restricting the growth of Mimosa pigra. When spraying to post emergence, if found that after 14 days, the intensity of kaffir lime juice was 1:5 and the fermentation of kaffir lime significantly restricted the growth of Mimosa pigra when comparing the controlled group. From this result, it found that the extract from the peel fermentation and the kaffir lime juice tended to be improved to be the pesticides. In the further study researchers will deeply study the major constituents and its mechanism including the effect to the environment.
