Abstract

Fungi from bait wood in shrimp farms of Chachoengsao and Chanthaburi Province during October 2553 and October 2554 were investigated for biodiversity. By incubating bait wood for 1 year at room temperature, a total of 13 fungi were isolated comprising 9 ascomycetes and 4 anamorphs. The most frequent fungi were Periconia prolifica (87.4%) and Trichocladium alopallonellum (35.7%). The common lignicolous fungi which were observed in both Chachoengsao and Chanthaburi Province were Antennospora quadricornuta, Haiyanga salina, Periconia prolifica, Verruculina enalia and Trichocladium alopallonellum. Fungi from both Chachoengsao and Chanthaburi Province were recorded at high frequency in January 2554 while low fungal frequency was recorded in July 2554. The similarity of fungal composition was at moderate level (JI = 0.48).
