Abstract


Togian island that has potential tourism object, both natural and cultural, has been appointed as one of tourism destination in Central Sulawesi and attracted tourist to visit Togian Island. The development policy of the area that is outlined in the Master Plan of Central Sulawesi Tourism. The analysis of core resources and attractors of tourism areas in Togian Island results some influencing factors, namely physiography and climate, culture and history, mix of activities, special events, entertainment, superstructure, market ties. Based on Crouch and Ritchie in 2003,  destination competitiveness and sustainability are commonly accepted as an important aspect in successful tourism development and destination marketing due to its impact on both-supply and demand-side aspects of marketing. Destination competitiveness and sustainability impacts on attraction of the destination key resources, increases the quality and effectiveness of supporting resources with regard to potential opportunities or threats arising from the external environment. The objectives of this research is to analyze the impact of core resources and attractors dimensions on overall of destination competitiveness and sustainability. This research use multiple regression to analyze the affect of factors of core resources and attractors toward to destination competitiveness and sustainability of Togian Island, Central Sulawesi, Indonesia. Then, for primary data that is collected directly by the researches from the source of  data with the total of respondents are 194 respondents consists of domestic and international tourists. Moreover, this research will give the analyzes to Master Plan of Central Sulawesi government to develop and sustain Togian Island.
