Abstract


Theobjectives of this research were to 1) examine members’ practices in managementof “Thai art bamboo wicker hand fans” community enterprises, 2) comparemembers’ practices in management of “Thai art bamboo wicker hand fans”community enterprises when classified by gender, age, education level, numberof shares held, duration of membership, wicker works monthly income, and theattention to management skill training per year, and 3) illustrate theguidelines for development in small and micro community enterprise management:a case study of “Thai art bamboo wicker hand fans” community enterprises. Thesamples were 251 members of “Thai art bamboo wicker hand fans” communityenterprises, Ban Phraek district, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutta province, selected byquota sampling technique. The research instrument was a set of questionnairewith the reliability of 0.93. The data were analyzed in terms of percentage,arithmetic mean, standard deviation, t-test, F-test in One Way ANOVA, and thepairwise comparison by Fisher’s Least Significant Difference (LSD). The researchfindings revealed that the arithmetic mean of members’ practices in managementof “Thai art bamboo wicker hand fans” community enterprise was at moderatelevel. The mean could be arranged in descending order as following; operationsmanagement, community enterprise improvement, accounting management, humanresource management, and marketing management. According to the comparison ofmembers’ practices in management of “Thai art bamboo wicker hand fans”community enterprise when classified by number of shares held and duration ofmembership, there was statistically significant difference at the .05.
